A 1:48 decal set from the Exito decals brand on the theme of machines that fell into the hands of the opponent and flew in his markings.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set in its own right in 1:48 scale from the Polish brand Exito decals. It is not a kit: in the package is a decal sheet set intended for models you obtain separately. The theme of the set refers to aircraft which during the war passed into the hands of the opponent and were test-flown and used in his colors and markings.
Captured machines are among the rewarding subjects. They combine the original shape of an aircraft with foreign markings, often with hastily oversprayed areas, prominent identification bands or test numbers. For a modeler that means a model which catches the eye on a shelf at once, because it does not fall into the usual row of standard camouflage schemes. The set is aimed at 1:48 scale; the list of the machines and schemes covered can be found on the sheet and in the enclosed instructions.
Decals hold best on a smooth gloss surface. Once the camouflage is finished, therefore, varnish the model with a gloss varnish compatible with the paint used. Cut the piece out as closely as possible, soak it in clean lukewarm water and let it stand until the film releases from the backing by itself. Once it is in place, draw the excess water off with a paper towel and use a softener, so that the decal is drawn down to the engraved lines and the rivets. Finally take the sheen off the model, which makes the glossy edge of the film disappear. With larger areas it helps to cut a decal into pieces and lay them one after another.
The set contains decals, not a model. The kit, paints and varnishes have to be obtained separately, unless stated otherwise.
