A figure of an officer of the Kriegsmarine in 1:48 scale, conceived as part of a ceremonial scene by a Type VIIC submarine.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure represents an officer of the Kriegsmarine of the Second World War period in the treatment of a ceremonial scene. It is intended for scenes by a Type VIIC submarine, the most numerous type of German submarine and at the same time the most widespread subject for submarine models. Paired with figures of the ratings it creates a scene with a clear hierarchy, which always reads well in a diorama.
1:48 scale means that an adult figure stands just under four centimeters tall. The posture and the cut of the uniform are clearly visible at this size, so the difference between an officer and the ratings shows in a scene. The figure can be placed on the deck of a model, in a diorama as well as on its own on a base.
Wash and degrease the figure before painting. Cut the surplus material and the traces of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and according to the manufacturer's instructions. Apply the paint in thin layers, so that the folds and the small items of equipment are not flooded; the rank insignia and the buttons are painted at the end with a fine brush.
The figure suits builders of submarines and naval vehicles in 1:48 scale and makers of dioramas whose scene lacks a commanding figure. It will work on its own as a small display case item as well.
The submarine model, a base, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
