Kabuki masks for the Lockheed Vega 5C in the BASIC grade, 1:48 scale from the New Ware brand are an accessory for finishing a model of the famous record-breaking monoplane, not a kit.

A masking set of the New Ware brand for a model of the American high-wing monoplane Lockheed Vega 5C in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft — it is an accessory used while finishing one. The masks are cut from kabuki paper and carry the designation BASIC, that is the basic grade of the manufacturer's graded line.
The Vega was a single-engine high-wing monoplane from the end of the 1920s with a monocoque wooden fuselage and clean aerodynamic shapes. Exactly thanks to them it became a favorite machine for long-distance and record flights. The model therefore has large flat areas of fuselage and clearly bounded cockpit glazing — a combination where every imprecision in an edge is noticed at first glance.
It is not so much about the mask as about the way of spraying. Thin the paint so that it still covers well but does not form a droplet at the edge, and keep the pressure in the airbrush on the lower side. Direct the first pass only as a light misting of the margin of the mask; only once this sealing layer has dried, add full coverage. Aim the stream of air at a right angle at the mask, never at an angle under its margin. If seepage appears somewhere all the same, put it right with a fine brush once the mask is off, not by spraying over it.
The package holds only the masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in it.
