This is not a kit of an aircraft but a masking set, that is an aid for painting. It contains pre-cut masks for a model of the McDonnell-Douglas AV-8A Harrier in 1:48 scale. A bare name with no subtitle is a common convention with this Eduard line — the name itself does not say what kind of product it is.
Masking the glazing of a cockpit with tape cut by knife is slow and thankless work on a modern aircraft with divided frames; one crooked cut is enough and the frame is uneven. A masking set deals with this step for you: the pieces are cut exactly to the shape of a particular model, so you only peel them off and transfer them onto the model. Sets of this type usually include circular masks for the tires as well, so that the rim can be sprayed separately from the rubber.
Take the masks off the sheet with pointed tweezers or a toothpick, so that no fingerprints are left on the adhesive layer. Before sticking one on, degrease the surface and let the masked part dry perfectly. Press the edges of a mask down with a toothpick — that is where the paint most often runs under. Spray in thin coats; a thick coat creates a step at the edge. Take the masks off shortly after the paint has dried and pull them at an angle downward, not straight up. Cover the rest of the glazing outside a mask with tape or with masking fluid.
The set does not contain a model, paints or glue. It is an aid for painting a plastic kit.
