This is a sheet of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the brand Exotic Decals. It is neither a kit nor a plastic accessory but separate markings intended to complete an already built model of the twin-engine Messerschmitt Me 110, which is also listed as the Bf 110. The theme of the sheet is machines of this type in Yugoslav service.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a twin-engine two-seat heavy fighter aircraft of all-metal construction with a twin vertical tail and extensive glazing over the cockpit. It came about in the second half of the 1930s as a machine for escort, for attacks on ground targets and later for night fighting as well. Thanks to its long range and heavy gun armament in the nose it was used in a number of roles, and in the course of its service it went through several production versions that differ in their engines, armament and the shape of the glazing. It is precisely these differences that decide which model particular decals will fit.
Coat the surface under the decals with gloss varnish, so that silvery edges do not form under the film. Cut the piece out close to the edge of the printing, soak it in lukewarm water and let it rest until the film releases itself from the backing. Adjust the settling with a soft brush and a softener; on intricate areas several thin applications of softener help more than one heavy one. Once it has dried, flatten the area or coat it according to the degree of gloss you want on the model.
