LööKplus is a package of accessories from the Czech manufacturer Eduard put together for one particular model, here for the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit and not a standalone model: it is a set of parts the modeler buys for a plastic kit obtained separately. The basis of the LööK line is a resin instrument panel with pre-colored seat belts, that is a finished colored assembly which is simply dropped into the cockpit. The word plus means that the package is extended with further accessories from the same manufacturer for the same machine; the exact make-up of a particular package is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. The point of the line is precisely that everything for one model comes in a single box.
The Bf 109G-6 was the most numerously produced version of the German single-seat Bf 109 fighter. It is recognized above all by the prominent bulges on the forward fuselage, which the change of gun armament made necessary, and by details of the cockpit, which changed again on the later batches. Models of this version are among the most frequently built in 1:48 scale, so there are more accessories for them than for any other.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the area. The instrument panel is usually pre-colored with finished dials, so do not spray over it; it is enough to tie it in with a matte coat at the end. Test the part dry before you drop it in, as the plastic seat in the fuselage usually has to be sanded down. Bond any photo-etched and self-adhesive parts with a drop of super glue. Paint the small wheels and the other resin parts only after a primer has been applied.
This is a collection of accessories for a model, not a standalone kit. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
