A set of thirty metal turnbuckles with one working end, in 1:48 scale from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch models. It is not a model but fine turned metal fittings for the bracing wires of biplanes. The one-end version suits places where one end of the wire is anchored solidly and the turnbuckle forms only one side of the joint.
The turnbuckle is threaded onto the rigging line and serves to tension and anchor it. Historic biplanes held their shape thanks to a system of pre-tensioned wires; true-to-life metal turnbuckles raise the realism of the rigging considerably compared with plastic imitations.
Thread the turnbuckle onto the rigging line and secure it with a drop of super glue. Tweezers and a magnifier are recommended; the parts can be painted once degreased.
The set contains the turnbuckles only. The rigging line, the glue and the model of the aircraft are not included in the package.
