Eduard 1:48 MiG-27 exhaust nozzle — photo-etched set is a photo-etched detail set for refining the engine exhaust nozzle of the MiG-27 fighter-bomber model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a modeling accessory: parts for a more faithful rendition of the exhaust nozzle of the jet engine, including the fine petals and inner rings that plastic parts often simplify. It raises the realism of the rear end of the model markedly.
The MiG-27 is a Soviet single-engine fighter-bomber with a variable-geometry wing, derived from the MiG-23 fighter. It was meant above all for strikes on ground targets, and its powerful engine drove a striking exhaust nozzle, which on a model is one of the details that catch the eye.
Separate the photo-etched brass parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife, form the bends in a bending tool or with a ruler and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Clean the surfaces before gluing and roughen them lightly for better grip. Roll the photo-etched nozzle petals to the right diameter before gluing; once assembled, the nozzle stands out with a wash and metallic shades.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
