A decal sheet in 1:48 scale with five Polish MiG-21 machines of five different versions, including the anniversary scheme of the 10th Regiment.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Polish Air Force operated the supersonic MiG-21 in an unusually wide spectrum of versions, and the sheet makes the most of that variety: each of the five machines offered belongs to a different production variant. Side by side there stand an interceptor of the older generation, a day fighter, a reconnaissance conversion and a late development stage with a more powerful engine.
The most striking item is a machine of the MF version from the 10th Fighter Regiment, which carried a scheme prepared for the fifty-fifth anniversary of the unit. It is joined by an older PF interceptor of the 1st Regiment with the Warsaw honorific as it stood in 1986, an example of the bis version from a naval aviation unit captured at the base near Gdynia in 1995, a machine of the M version from the 2nd Regiment at Goleniow in 1991 and the R reconnaissance version from the 32nd Reconnaissance Regiment.
What the sheet offers
Decals are transferred with water and settled onto a smooth gloss surface, over which a matte varnish is applied once they have dried. Because the individual machines come from different years, their national insignia and tactical numbers differ as well, so the sheet will also serve as a basis for comparing how Polish markings changed over the years. The kit of the aircraft itself is not part of the package; the sheet is bought to go with a model of your own choosing.
