Dead Design 1:48 Nakajima Ki-43-II/III Hayabusa National Insignia and markings masks is a set of masks for spraying the national insignia and markings of the Japanese fighter instead of using decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting masks from the company Dead Design; it is not a kit. It is meant for plastic models of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-43-II/III Hayabusa fighter in 1:48 scale. The masks let you paint the national insignia (hinomaru) and other markings straight onto the model with an airbrush, which gives a deeper and more durable result than decals and removes the risk of silvering under the decal film.
The Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa (known in the West as the Oscar) was the main fighter of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force in the Second World War, prized for its exceptional agility. The later Ki-43-II and Ki-43-III versions received a more powerful engine, better protection and changes to the airframe. The machines carried prominent national insignia and unit markings.
Lay the mask in the right place, press it down and spray the matching shade with an airbrush. For multi-color markings the masks are applied and removed in the order given in the instructions. The result is crisp, matte insignia with no glossy decal edge.
The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
