This is not a model but templates from a Czech manufacturer intended for creating regular rows of rivets on the surface of a model in 1:48 scale. A template serves as a guide along which you space the rivets evenly, whether you roll them with a riveting wheel or add them with rivet decals. The shape of the templates is oblong, and the Plus form offers a wider choice of spacings and shapes.
Straight as well as curved rows of rivets are hard to keep regular by hand. A template with preformed openings and lines holds a constant spacing and direction, thanks to which the riveting looks clean and symmetrical even over larger areas. The result has the look of factory riveting and stands up to a close look, which builders of large scales appreciate above all.
Lay the template on the surface, secure it against shifting and roll or add the rivets along the guide lines. Work in short sections and keep checking that the rows follow on. Clean the template after use so that it lasts for further projects.
