HGW masking set P-47D Thunderbolt Bubbletop (1:48) - precisely cut self-adhesive masks for the canopy glazing and the wheels.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks from HGW intended for the American P-47D Thunderbolt fighter with the bubbletop canopy in 1:48 scale. The masks are stuck onto the frames of the glazing and when spraying they create sharp edges with no paint bleeding under them. The solution saves time compared with laborious masking with tape and gives a cleaner result. Circular tire masks for a clean transition between the tire and the wheel are usually included as well.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was a massive American fighter and fighter bomber powered by the potent Pratt and Whitney R-2800 radial engine. The late bubbletop form replaced the original raised rear fuselage with a bubble canopy, which gave the pilot a markedly better view to the rear. The Thunderbolt was famous for its toughness and for the heavy firepower of its attacks on ground targets.
This is a masking aid, not a model. Neither paints nor a kit are included in the package.
