1:48 Paint mask He-111H-6

SX-Art paint mask for the Heinkel He 111H-6 (1:48)

A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks for a plastic model of the He 111H-6 medium bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit and not a paint but an accessory that makes painting the intricate glazed nose and cockpit considerably easier. The manufacturer is the brand SX-Art.

The real subject

The Heinkel He 111 was a German twin-engine bomber used from the second half of the 1930s and throughout the Second World War. The H-6 version was among the most widespread and is distinguished by the typical fully glazed nose, whose framing is the most demanding part for a modeler to mask.

Use

• Take the individual parts off the backing and place them on the glazing according to the shape of the frames.
• On curved surfaces press the mask down gently so that it follows the shape well.
• Spray thin coats; first the color of the interior of the frames, then the exterior camouflage.
• Remove the mask before the paint has fully hardened.

Who the set is for

For modelers building the He 111H-6 in 1:48 who want clean cockpit frames without the laborious cutting of tape.

It is not a model and not a paint. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
