A set of waterslide decals from the Czech manufacturer ROP for a plastic model of the Polikarpov I-16 Rata fighter in 1:48 scale. The scheme is devoted to I-16 machines in the colors and markings of the Republican side during the Spanish Civil War. The product is an accessory for finishing your own model; it is not a model and not a kit.
The Polikarpov I-16 was a Soviet single-seat low-wing monoplane of the 1930s with retractable landing gear and a radial engine. It was delivered to Spain in support of the Republicans, who nicknamed it the Mosca; its opponents called it the Rata. In its early days in Spain it dominated older biplanes, until more modern enemy fighters arrived.
The surface for the decals should be smooth and glossy. Cut the subject out, soak it in lukewarm water and once it releases move it off the backing into place; push out the water that remains. A decal softener and a setting solution help. Once it has dried, go over it with matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is a set of decals, not an airplane model. The paints, the varnish and the model itself are not included in the package.
