Hauler 1:48 SAS Jeep (Africa 1942) is a conversion and accessory set that turns a light cross-country vehicle into a British SAS desert jeep with armament and a load. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This conversion and accessory set from the maker Hauler in 1:48 scale rebuilds a light cross-country vehicle into a fighting jeep of the British Special Air Service (SAS) from the desert campaign in North Africa in 1942. It holds resin castings of jerrycans and machine gun armament together with photo-etched straps and details. It is an aftermarket accessory for modelers, not a complete kit.
SAS units became famous for deep raids into the enemy rear on heavily loaded jeeps with several machine guns and supplies of fuel and water in jerrycans. These desert vehicles are an icon of the war in North Africa.
The conversion calls for modifying the base model (among other things cutting out the radiator). Wash the resin parts free of release agent and cut the casting blocks off; bend the photo-etched straps in a bender. Fix everything with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A loaded vehicle is ideal for striking dioramas.
This is a conversion accessory for a build; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
