Decals 1:48 Soviet Aces on Lavochkin La-5Fs, part II — a decal sheet from the Czech manufacturer AML with markings for La-5F fighters flown by successful Soviet fighter pilots of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second part of the line devoted to Soviet fighter aces on Lavochkins brings a decal sheet in 1:48 scale for kits of the La-5F fighter. The decals from the Czech manufacturer AML cover the personal and unit markings of aircraft whose pilots were among the most successful fighter pilots of the Soviet Air Force.
The Lavochkin La-5F was an improved version of the La-5 fighter with the more powerful Shvetsov M-82F radial engine. It appeared on the Eastern Front in 1943 and in the hands of experienced pilots it could match the German fighters even at low altitude, where most of the combats took place. Besides the national star insignia, the aircraft of the aces often carried personal emblems, tactical numbers and victory markings, and it is exactly these elements that make a model of the La-5F a rewarding and colorful subject.
Before applying them, spray the surface of the model with gloss varnish so that no air is left under the decal. Soak the subject in lukewarm water for a few seconds, let it release and slide it onto the model. Fine-tune the position with a soft brush, press the surplus water out and use a decal softener on the curved areas of the fuselage. Once dry, fix everything with a coat of varnish to match the finish you have chosen.
This is a decal sheet; the aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
