The masking set Soviet White (Yellow) Outlined Kremlin Stars — late variant, 1:48 from Armycast serves for spraying outlined stars of the Kremlin type onto an aircraft model. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Self-adhesive Armycast masks for 1:48 scale with which you spray a Soviet star of the Kremlin type with a white or yellow outline in the late pattern. The set is an accessory for a model; it holds cut masks, not parts of a model or decals. The advantage of a sprayed insignia is that it leaves no extra layer behind and takes the same treatment as the surrounding paintwork.
The late pattern closes the development line of outlined Kremlin stars, which Armycast offers in three variants. The light outline served to separate the red area from a dark base. Check the particular proportions of the insignia and the period in which the late variant was carried in the documentation for the machine concerned.
Reckon with the fact that red paint usually has poor covering power, especially over a dark or varied base. Work in layers, therefore: spray a covering white or light gray underlay below the red, let it cure perfectly and only then apply the red. The light edging follows the same logic — the light color is sprayed across the whole insignia first, the edging is masked off once it has dried and then the red comes next. A white underlay also unifies the shade of the red across the whole model, which shows mainly where the insignia lie on camouflage fields of differing darkness.
This is an accessory for a model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
