Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale in the TFace form. The designation TFace means that the set holds templates for both sides of the glazing — the outer and the inner one. The frames of the cabin can thus be painted from inside as well, which shows when you look through a clear part: without the inner spray, bare plastic or the color of the interior shines through the frame. It is not a model of the aircraft, but an aid for painting. The shapes of the templates match a particular model of the Su-33 in 1:48 scale, so check the match with your kit in advance.
The Su-33 is the carrier-based variant of the heavy twin-engined fighter derived from the Su-27 family. It has strengthened landing gear, an arrestor hook, folding wing panels to save room on deck and added auxiliary surfaces in the forward part of the fuselage. The design follows from the requirements of operation from an aircraft carrier, that is, a takeoff along a ski-jump deck and a landing onto arrestor wires.
Stick the inner templates down and spray them before you seat the clear part into the fuselage — after that you will no longer get inside. The surface must be dry and degreased; transfer the templates with tweezers and press them down along the whole perimeter. Spray in thin layers; a heavy wet layer runs under the edge. Take the mask off while the paint is only tacky. Protect the clear part from being sanded and from fingerprints, as scratches are polished out of it with difficulty. The interior shade of the frames first and then the outer camouflage works well.
This is an accessory to a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
