Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I late 1:48 Lookplus is a combined Eduard accessory set with a finished resin instrument panel for the late form of the machine. It is not a kit but an accessory.

The basis of the Look line is a resin instrument panel with faithful three-dimensional relief and a finished colored surface. A modeler does not have to paint it or assemble it from photo-etched layers, but only clean it and glue it into the cockpit. The Lookplus label says that in the box the panel is supplemented by further accessories for the same model from the same manufacturer. This option is aimed at the late production form of the Spitfire Mk.I in 1:48 scale. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the package.
The word late refers to the later production form of the Mk.I. During production the type went through a number of modifications affecting the powerplant, the cockpit glazing and the equipment of the pilot's station, and the fit of the instrument panel changed with them. The manufacturer therefore makes an early and a late option as two separate items. Before buying, check which phase of production your kit and the chosen color scheme capture, so that the cockpit details match the rest of the model.
Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before gluing so that the mold release agent disappears. Cut the casting blocks off, do not snap them, and finish the surfaces wet with respiratory protection. The glue is super glue, ideally in a gel or slower-setting form so that there is time to position the part. Do not spray over the finished colored surface of the panel; glossy-looking dials are created with a drop of clear coat. Check that the panel does not foul the plastic fuselage part once it is in, and thin the plastic slightly from the inside if need be.
