The fabric cockpit seatbelts HGW 1:48 Sutton QK Harness (the early type) replace plastic or decal belts with faithful fabric parts of microtextile with photo-etched fittings.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail set of cockpit seat belts, not a model of the airplane. The set faithfully reproduces the British Sutton harness of the QK type in its early form, in 1:48 scale. It replaces flat plastic or decal belts with parts of real microtextile completed by photo-etched fittings.
The Sutton harness was a British type of multi-point seat belt used in the cockpits of a whole range of British aircraft. The QK form used a quick-release mechanism that let the pilot free himself from the belts fast. The early type corresponds to the older variants of this system. Because these are not belts tied to one particular machine, the set suits several British aircraft of that era in 1:48 scale.
Choose the shade of the belt, cut the parts out along the marked line with a sharp knife and then shorten them to the length needed. Work the fabric briefly between your fingers so that it takes on natural folds, and thread it through the photo-etched buckles. Glue with PVA glue (white glue) and do not use super glue or any other aggressive glue, which could damage the fabric or the plastic.
This is not a complete model. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as an accessory to a base model.
