This item is not a kit of the tank but a conversion set of road wheels cast in modeling resin. It replaces the wheels from a plastic kit in 1:48 scale with a version without a rubber tire, that is with the all-steel type with a solid disc. The set changes a prominent and clearly visible element of the running gear, so it has a great influence on the character of the finished model. The number of wheels in the package and the rest of the contents are stated on the box; before buying we recommend checking the fit with the kit you are building.
The T-34/85 was a Soviet medium tank of the Second World War, that is the later developed form of the T-34 type with a bigger turret and heavier gun armament of 85 mm. Production ran in several works at the same time, which differed in technological details, and so on the vehicles you will find various designs of turret, hatches and road wheels. All-steel wheels without a rubber tire arose as a production variant at a time when rubber was a scarce material, and in service they were commonly combined with wheels of the usual type on one vehicle.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent, so that no mold release agent is left on the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and sand the surface wet with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate, that is with super glue. Fit the wheels dry and check that they lie in one plane, otherwise the model will not sit down on its base. With running gear it pays to paint and weather the wheels separately before the tracks are fitted. Apply dust and mud with pigments from the bottom upward, so that the effect looks natural.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
