1:48 American cans (2 types, 12 pieces) is an add-on set of small equipment for models of military vehicles and for dioramas in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but separate castings for dressing a scene.

The package holds twelve cans of American pattern in two shapes. Small equipment of this kind is the simplest way of bringing a finished model to life: the cans can be stacked on fenders, in the bed of a truck, on a rack in a diorama scene or simply arranged on the ground around a vehicle. It is precisely such details that turn a model into a scene.
Cans were an absolutely ordinary piece of equipment with military units and vehicles carried them practically always. The two fits in the package match the fact that in practice containers of different purposes were used, differing in the shape of the closure and the handles. Twelve pieces in one package are enough to equip several vehicles or for one richer scene.
Small castings are easiest to paint while they hold together: spray them before separating them, or stick them to a stick with double-sided tape. After a primer apply the basic shade, then a dark wash into the etched edges and finally bring out the edges and ribs with a dry brush. It helps credibility if the cans are not all the same: rub some of them down to suggested metal and leave others cleaner. Cans for fuel and for water differed in practice in color and in markings; small lettering can be suggested with a fine brush or a decal.
This is an add-on set of small equipment, not a kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
