A thematic sheet gives a modeler the chance to finish a build differently from the markings in the box. How many variants the sheet contains and which types of aircraft it covers is described by the illustration of the sheet and the enclosed diagram, which you should go by when choosing.
Every decal sits on a transparent carrier film that is always a little larger than the printing itself. The larger the overhang left, the greater the chance that a matte or glossy outline will appear on the model. With a sharp, really fresh scalpel, therefore, trim the film as close to the printing as possible, ideally on a glass or cutting mat. With multi-part insignia and lettering it pays to trim each element separately and to apply them one by one — more accurate placing and less film on the surface. With fine lettering do not overdo it: if the knife runs into the printing, the decal will tear while soaking.
Decals are an accessory for building a model. The kit, paints, clear coats and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
