Fujimi 1:700 set of Type 95 shipboard aircraft — Japanese Type 95 reconnaissance floatplanes for populating the catapults of battleship and cruiser models in 1:700 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This add-on set from Fujimi holds Japanese Type 95 shipboard reconnaissance floatplanes in 1:700 scale. The miniature biplanes belong on the catapults of models of Japanese battleships and cruisers from the 1930s and the first phase of the Second World War. This is not a standalone aircraft kit but an add-on to a ship model.
The Type 95 reconnaissance floatplane was a biplane with a central main float, catapulted from the decks of Japanese battleships and cruisers. It handled observation, gunfire spotting and patrol work; it served from the second half of the 1930s and through the first years of the Pacific war until more modern types replaced it.
Paint the small biplanes before fitting them to the catapult — a silvery or light gray finish with prominent national insignia on the upper wing is typical. Work with tweezers and a minimum of glue; the set suits above all models of ships captured in their configuration from the end of the 1930s and the start of the war.
This is an add-on set — the ship model, glue and paints are not included in the package. The aircraft are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
