The collector model in 1:72 scale shows the Soviet 2S4 Tulipan self-propelled heavy mortar. It is a finished product from Ge Fabbri: the model is already assembled and painted, so it calls for no gluing and no painting. It combines metal and plastic parts with marked panel lines and surface detail.
The 2S4 Tulipan (designated SM-240) is a Soviet 240 mm self-propelled mortar, among the largest-caliber mortars taken into military service. It entered service in the mid-1970s and in the West it received the designation M1975. The folding mortar arm rests on the ground behind the hull of the vehicle when firing; the chassis is derived from the tracked equipment of the day. It served to destroy heavily fortified targets and enemy concentrations.
The model is meant for display, not for play. We recommend protecting it from dust and direct sunlight, which can affect the shade over time. Handle the moving or fine parts with care.
This is a finished model. It is not a kit: it calls for no gluing and no coat of paint.
