About product

Peewit A-4E Skyhawk painting mask (1:72)

This is a set of painting (masking) masks for a plastic model of the light A-4E Skyhawk carrier-based attack airplane in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut from a thin masking film and follow the frames of the canopy glazing exactly, so that when the paint is sprayed the clear canopy stays clean and the frames get sharp, straight edges. It is not a model of the airplane but an accessory that makes masking markedly quicker and more accurate.

Use

  • Peel the individual pieces off the sheet and lay them on the matching areas of the glazing.
  • Press the film down carefully along the frames so that no paint creeps under the edge.
  • Spray the color of the frames, let it set and take the masks off carefully.
  • No adhesive residue is left behind, and the glazing is ready for the final clear coat.

Who the mask is for

For modelers who want to spray the canopy frames cleanly and quickly without the slow business of cutting masking tape. Suitable even for beginners who are only learning to mask.

A set of masks on its own. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
