Armored trains were fighting vehicles on a railway chassis: an armored locomotive and cars coupled to it with armor and armament. They served to protect lines, to escort transports and to give fire support everywhere the track led. The make-up of a train differed from one to the next, because trains often came about by converting ordinary railway vehicles in workshops; what they had in common was that great firepower was carried along the rails and moved quickly to a threatened place.
This is a plastic kit in 1:72 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is built according to the enclosed instructions. Which particular type of train or car the package captures, what the extent of the parts is and what marking options it offers is stated on the packaging and in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts a little away from the part itself and sand the remaining stub so that the mating surfaces seat. Use glue intended for plastic models. With a long vehicle on rails it pays to assemble the running gear dry, lay it on a flat surface and check that nothing binds anywhere, and only then glue. Painting is easier in sub-assemblies: the running gear and the wheels separately, the armored boxes separately. The model will benefit from a dark wash into the recesses and dusting around the running gear, because that is where dirt settled on the real thing.
Paints, thinner, glue, track and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The exact contents of the package are stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
