An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer UM (UniModels). The subject is an armored OV-class steam locomotive assigned to armored train formations of the OB-3 type, numbered 5676. The locomotive formed the core of an armored railroad formation.
OV-class steam locomotives were among the most widespread Soviet freight locomotives. In armored form they received armor on the boiler, the cab and the running gear and served as the motive power of an armored train formation. The OB-3 type represents one of the standardized versions of armored trains.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work from the running gear and the chassis upward. Cut the tiny armor parts away with care. Rust shades, soot around the smokestack and washes in the gaps suit the patina. We recommend a primer and an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
