A set of self-adhesive painting masks from Eduard in 1:72 scale for a model of the American four-engine Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress bomber. The masks are die-cut from kabuki masking tape and make it easy to spray the extensive glazing and the edges of the wheels cleanly. It is not a kit but a masking accessory.
The B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber, key to the daylight strategic raids over Europe. The final G version was marked by a chin gun turret under the nose and by heavy defensive machine gun armament, thanks to which the machine endured severe conditions over the target.
The bomber has a great deal of glazing in the cockpit, the nose and the gun stations. Stick the masks onto a degreased surface, press them against the frames and spray with an airbrush in thin layers. The templates speed the work up dramatically compared with painting many small panes by hand.
This is an accessory (painting masks), not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
