The real subject

The BM-13 and BM-31 rocket launchers were among the best known weapons of the Soviet army of the Second World War. Salvo fire from rail or frame launchers covered a large area at once and had a devastating effect against defenses in the field. In the second half of the war the carrier became above all the all-wheel-drive Studebaker truck, supplied to the Soviet Union under Allied aid; its high mobility over rough ground made the rocket launcher a weapon that could move away before counter-battery fire found it.

How to apply the decals

Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version: a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined, whereas a wet decal that has not been soaked can be soaked later. With an ordinary wet sheet proceed in the usual way. Cut the decal out with its margin, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it stand until it releases from the backing. Apply it onto a smooth gloss surface, draw the excess water off and, once it is dry, varnish the surface over, so that the edge disappears.
