1:72 Boeing B-52G/B-52H Stratofortress ADVANCED kabuki masks

Kabuki masks B-52G/B-52H Stratofortress – the ADVANCED grade, 1:72 (New Ware)

A set of precisely cut masking templates from kabuki paper (washi) for spraying the glazing and the wheels of a model of the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress in the G and H versions, 1:72 scale. The ADVANCED grade adds the frame seals to the glazing, so the broken-up glazing of the cockpit and the nose comes out sharp. It is not a kit, but an aid for painting the extensive glazed areas of a large model.

The real subject

The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is an American eight-engine strategic bomber introduced in the 1950s and serving to this day. The G and H versions differed in fuel tanks, the tail section and the engines; the H got more powerful turbofan engines. The cockpit has broken-up glazing, on which a mask pays off markedly.

Usage tips

• Mask broken-up glazing one pane at a time, so that every frame seats.
• Undercoat the frames with the interior shade, then apply the exterior covering coat.
• Kabuki paper follows curves and flat panes alike and leaves no glue once taken off.
• Take the mask off while the paint has only set, for the sake of a sharp edge.

Who the set is for

• Builders of the large strategic bomber in 1:72 scale.
• Modelers who want sharp frames of an extensive cockpit without cutting by hand.
• Anyone who appreciates extended masking including the frame seals.

The mask is an aid for spraying. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
