Montex 1:72 Bristol Blenheim Mk.IF is a masking set for a kit you already own, not a model. The die-cut self-adhesive templates cover the glazing while the camouflage is sprayed.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a sheet of machine-cut self-adhesive masks shaped to the framing of the glazed areas of this type. It is not a kit and not model parts — the masks serve to keep the windows clear while spraying and to give the frames exactly the same color as the rest of the airframe. In the small 1:72 scale, cutting tape by hand into small curves is thankless work, and this is precisely where pre-shaped templates pay off most.
The Bristol Blenheim was a British all-metal twin-engine aircraft of the 1930s. The Mk.IF version came about by converting the Mk.I bomber into a heavy fighter: a gun pack was fitted under the fuselage and the machines served with the Royal Air Force above all in the night fighter role in the first years of the war. Its unmistakable features are the glazed nose and the low pilot's cockpit with a mass of narrow frames.
First wash the glazed parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry freely, so that a mask will hold. Lift the templates off the sheet with tweezers or the point of a scalpel and press them down with a wooden stick, above all on the curves. Before the camouflage itself, spray over the edges of the masks with a thin coat of the interior color — any creep will then not show. Remove the masks while the finish is fresh, not after several days.
The package holds masking templates only. The model, paints and glue are not part of it.
