The decal sheet 1:72 Lisunov Li-2 from HAD models, for the surviving Hungarian machine with the registration HA-LIX in the finish known as Sunflower.
Responsibility details are not available.
This sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models is intended for a model of the Li-2 airliner in 1:72 scale, and specifically for the surviving and still flying Hungarian machine with the civil registration HA-LIX in the finish usually known as Sunflower. It is a decal accessory in its own right, not a kit.
The Li-2 is a license-built development of the well-known American twin-engine airliner, adapted for Soviet production and fitted with radial engines of domestic design. It serves as a transport and cargo aircraft with an all-metal cantilever structure, retractable landing gear and a roomy cabin. It was built in thousands and long formed the backbone of the transport fleets of eastern Europe. Only a few machines have survived in flying condition to the present day, and that is exactly why their current finishes are sought after among modelers.
The base should be a smooth gloss clear coat, ideally over a polished metal or silver foundation, which predominates on airliners. Cut the designs out as closely as possible, soak them and let them rest, so that the film releases without being stretched. Settle the long stripes along the fuselage step by step and keep soaking the water up. Once dry, go over the model with a varnish of the sheen that matches an aircraft finish, that is rather satin than fully matte.
The product is a decal sheet. The model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
