An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale capturing the American Diamond T 968 heavy truck in the version with a cargo bed and a pintle-mounted 12.7 mm heavy machine gun (the M2 Browning). The package contains bonus photo-etched (PE) parts for finer detail. This is a modern-tooled model from the Polish maker IBG, which has long devoted itself to the utility vehicles of the Second World War.
The Diamond T 968 was a four-ton all-wheel-drive (6x6) truck built by the Diamond T Motor Car Company. It served as a general transport and supply vehicle with the Allied armies in the Second World War, and under the Lend-Lease program it also reached British and Soviet units. Vehicles of this type were used for carrying cargo, for towing and as improvised weapon carriers.
We recommend a thin cement for plastic and careful cleaning up of the seams on the cab and the cargo bed. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Assemble and paint the chassis and the running gear before closing the body up. The model suits an airbrushed base coat of olive paint and weathering with washes and pigments, which will give the vehicle a realistic dusty look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
