1:72 Finnish Bombers - Post War Markings is a sheet of waterslide decals from the brand SBS Model with postwar Finnish markings for bomber aircraft. An accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale with postwar Finnish markings for bomber aircraft. The package holds decals only, so the model you apply them to and the paints and varnishes are bought separately. Which particular types and machines the sheet covers is given on the packaging and in the enclosed instructions.
After the Second World War the Finnish Air Force went on using a number of machines from the war period, and its markings changed markedly at that time. The postwar national insignia, code letters and fuselage numbers differ from the earlier period in shape as well as in placing, so they cannot be swapped for the decals from ordinary kits. This stage is the one least represented in kits, and a specialized sheet is the only practical way of capturing it on a model.
The ground is what decides. Apply the decals solely onto a smooth gloss surface, because a matte coat has a microscopically divided structure, air stays in it under the carrier film and the motif then silvers. So give the model a gloss clear coat first, let it cure properly and only then work with water. Once the decals have dried you will even the surface out with a matte or semi-matte varnish, which hides the edges of the film. With large bombers it pays to go one half of the model at a time, so that the finished motifs are not rubbed while handling it.
These are decals on their own, not a model. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
