Masks for spraying the wheel bays of the Ta 152H-0 and H-1 high-altitude fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ta 152H was a high-altitude fighter of the end of the Second World War, recognizable at first glance by a wing of markedly greater span than that of the related Focke-Wulf machines. The designation H-0 belongs to the pre-production configuration and H-1 to the production one. On a model of these machines the cleanliness of the small details shows a great deal, because the shape is simple and the eye stops at every inaccuracy.
This is a set of masks for spraying wheel bays in 1:72 scale, for the H-0 and H-1 versions. In this scale the bay is small and covering it by hand with a brush almost always shows; a pre-cut mask keeps the shape of the opening exactly and the boundary of the shade stays sharp. The number of pieces, their layout and the material of the sheet are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Apply the masks before spraying, onto a dry, clean and degreased surface, and press the edges down properly so that no paint runs under them. Apply the paint in several light coats; one heavy coat likes to gather at the edge of the mask and leaves a ridge once it is off. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, not after several days.
It suits modelers who build the Ta 152H with open bays and want the inside set apart from the surrounding area. The manufacturer offers several configurations under the same name, so before buying check that this is the variant for your own kit. The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
