A set of painting masks for a model of the Fouga CM.170 Magister trainer in 1:72 scale. They are applied before spraying and taken off once the paint has dried.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fouga CM.170 Magister is a French two-seat jet trainer of the postwar generation. Its unmistakable hallmarks are the butterfly V tail and the long glazed canopy with two seats in tandem. It flew with a number of European and non-European air forces and received a colorful range of training and aerobatic schemes, which makes it a rewarding subject precisely for painting.
This is a set of painting masks for a Magister model in 1:72 scale. The masks are applied to the model before spraying and taken off once the paint has dried, so the glazing frames get a straight and sharp edge without laborious taping. The range of the masks and the kit they are cut for are given in the manufacturer's description and instructions; check the match before buying.
The long canopy of the Magister has many frames, so sort the masks before applying them and fit them one by one from the nose toward the tail. Degrease the area, seat the mask dry and only then press it down along its whole length with the blunt tip of a pair of tweezers. Apply the paint in thin coats, first the interior shade of the cockpit and only then the exterior shades. Take the mask off slowly and at an angle to the surface, as soon as the paint is dry to the touch.
The set is meant for use on a model you build yourself. Paints, glue and thinners are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
