This injected plastic kit captures the German Jagdtiger heavy tank destroyer in an alternative form with an 88 mm gun of L/71 barrel length. It is an execution inspired by games and by fans, differing from the standard armament of the real subject. The set by Trumpeter is in 1:72 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Jagdtiger was the heaviest series-produced German tank destroyer of the Second World War, built on the chassis of a heavy tank and protected by thick frontal armor. In its production form it carried a massive large-caliber gun. This kit offers a variant with a different barrel of 88 mm caliber.
First finish the running gear and the hull, and only then fit the barrel and the superstructure. Dark washes and dust pigments suit the weathering. A primer and an airbrush are recommended; liquid cement for plastic will make clean joints easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
