Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic model of the German heavy tank destroyer Jagdtiger (Sd.Kfz.186) in the configuration with the rarer Porsche running gear and with a layer of anti-magnetic Zimmerit paste, in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. For the exact contents of the box go by the enclosed instructions and the markings on the box.
The Jagdtiger was the heaviest series-produced tank destroyer of the Second World War, with a 128 mm gun in a tall superstructure on a lengthened King Tiger chassis. The real vehicle was built with two kinds of running gear. This variant captures the Porsche running gear with eight road wheels on each side; that solution was built in only a small number of vehicles and is rarer than the usual Henschel running gear with nine wheels. The different number and arrangement of the road wheels is precisely the main recognition feature of this version.
With armored vehicles, finish the running gear and the eight-wheel suspension first and close the hull only afterwards. Bring out the texture of the Zimmerit with a wash into the engraved lines. Spray the base over primer and apply the colors with an airbrush; fine-tune the weathering with pigments for dust and mud effects and with a dry brush on the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
