A photo-etched set of Japanese racks for 250 kg bombs in 1:72 scale is an accessory for models of Japanese aircraft, not a kit. It replaces coarse plastic racks with thin metal parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched accessory from the Czech company Brengun intended for models of Japanese Second World War aircraft that carried bombs of around 250 kg. It is not a model or a kit but a set of metal parts with which to replace simplified racks and beams made of plastic.
Structurally a rack is made up of thin sections, stirrups and rods, that is exactly what cannot be cast into a mold in 1:72 scale. Its plastic counterpart therefore tends to be simplified into a solid block, and seen from below on a model that shows. Etched metal a few tenths of a millimeter thick matches the real structure far better and the armament under the wing stops looking like a glued-up lump.
Separate the parts with a scalpel, make the bends in a bending tool or between two blades and try the finished assembly on the model dry first. The place where the rack is to go is best sanded flat beforehand so that the part seats properly. Degrease the metal and spray it with a primer, and only then paint. It is bonded with super glue applied with a pin, as cement for plastic will not bond metal. We recommend painting the assembly separately and fitting it to the model at the end, after the lower surfaces have been sprayed.
The accessory is supplied on its own and unpainted. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
