Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a modern Japanese light armored vehicle in 1:72 scale. According to the name this is the release intended for the units of the Air Self-Defense Force, that is, a vehicle assigned to the protection of airfields and air bases rather than to ground combat formations. The maker is the Japanese company Fujimi, which works this equipment out in a separate military range.
A light armored vehicle of this type is a four-wheel armored car with an armored body, firing ports in the sides and an opening for a weapon in the roof. It is built to move a small squad, for reconnaissance and for the protection of installations, not for a frontal fight. Its main asset is mobility on the road as well as across country and resistance to fragments and small arms fire. That is exactly why it is also used outside the ground units, among others with the formations that provide security at air bases.
In a small scale the body of an armored car is very flat, so the result stands or falls with the painting. Brighten the center of the large areas and, conversely, darken the surroundings of the seams, so that the model gains depth. Set the wheels and tires apart in their material; rubber is never black - dark gray looks more realistic. Before the decals, polish the surface with a gloss clear coat, and once they are on, even the whole model out with a flat one. Keep the weathering restrained: a fine wash in the seams, dust on the wheel arches and the lower edges. The model looks good on a simple board with asphalt and a line of road marking.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
