The package contains two injection-molded plastic kits of the MAN KAT1 M1014 heavy military truck in 1:72 scale together with a detail set from the maker Modelcollect. Besides the plastic sprues for both vehicles, photo-etched parts, decals and instructions are enclosed. The set is ideal for building a convoy or for comparing two forms in one scene.
The MAN KAT1 M1014 is a German heavy cross-country truck with 8x8 drive, which became the backbone of the logistics of the Bundeswehr and of other NATO armies. The robust chassis carries bulky bodies and serves to transport cargo, to tow and as a carrier for special equipment in difficult terrain.
With two vehicles it pays to work in parallel and to divide the build into subassemblies. Finish the chassis and the cab interior before closing them up. Glue the photo-etched items with super glue. After priming, spray with an airbrush in a NATO scheme, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add dust pigments to the wheels and the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
