King Tiger 1:72 is a plastic kit of the German Tiger II heavy tank from the end of the Second World War from the Italeri brand.

An injection-molded plastic kit of the German King Tiger heavy tank (Sd.Kfz.182, Tiger II) in 1:72 scale from the Italian brand Italeri. The model captures the massive outline of the heaviest German production tank with its long 88 mm gun; one-piece flexible (vinyl) tracks are usually enclosed for the running gear, so that they slip on easily. The exact contents and the decal schemes of a particular package are given in the instructions in the box.
The King Tiger was the heaviest German tank series-produced in the Second World War, with a combat weight of around seventy tons. It entered production in the middle of 1944 and carried the powerful 8.8 cm KwK 43 gun with a very long barrel, which could destroy Allied tanks at long range. Its strongly sloped frontal armor reached a thickness of over 150 mm and made the vehicle practically impervious from the front. Most of the vehicles received the so-called Henschel turret with a flat front wall. The tank was exceptionally strongly armed and armored, but its great weight meant high consumption and heavy demands on the engine and the transmission.
Assemble and fine-tune the running gear and the lower hull before closing and painting it; slip the flexible tracks on and glue the joints carefully with a suitable glue. Apply the multi-color late German camouflage with soft transitions using an airbrush, and use a gloss coat under the decals. Build the weathering with dark washes into the seams, a dry brush on the edges of the large armor surfaces and dense dust and mud pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
