A finished collector's model of the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank as a captured machine in German service, 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank of the early Second World War, and its main asset was its armor. In 1941 ordinary antitank guns could do nothing against it for a long time, and single machines were able to hold up a whole column. The price was high weight, low speed and an unreliable transmission. In the turret it carried a 76 millimeter gun, that is, the same weapon as the medium tanks of the day.
Captured equipment was not put aside during the war but taken into the inventory of whoever had seized it. The German side operated Soviet tanks this way too and listed them under its own designation, in which the suffix in parentheses pointed to the Russian origin of the machine. So that their own units would not shoot at their own vehicle, these tanks were given conspicuously large crosses and other recognition markings. It is exactly this combination of a Soviet shape and foreign markings that makes the model an unusual piece for a display case.
The model is supplied finished, unless stated otherwise, so it needs no glue and no paints. In 1:72 scale a tank of this size comes out at roughly nine centimeters. Stand it in a closed display case out of direct sunlight and sweep the dust off with a soft brush.
You do not need paints, glue or tools for the model and they are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
