A set of leafed twigs for dioramas and vignettes in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of an airplane or of a vehicle but an accessory with which you add broadleaf greenery to a scene in a small scale, for the crown of a tree, as a bush on the edge of an area or as a branch covering camouflaged vehicles. The parts are precisely cut and supplied unpainted.
The maple has palmately divided leaves with prominent lobes that are among the most recognizable leaves of all. In the small 1:72 scale an individual leaf already reads less well, which makes the overall silhouette of a twig and the density of the foliage all the more important, and that is precisely what this set deals with: instead of gluing leaves on one by one you get a whole leafed form at once.
Take the twigs out of the sheet and clean the burrs up with a new blade; in 1:72 scale the parts are very fine, so work with tweezers and without pressure. Bend every twig slightly before gluing, so that the leaves do not all point into one plane. Glue with gel cyanoacrylate glue onto an armature of wire or onto a natural twig. Paint over a thin acrylic primer applied with an airbrush, as a brush would gather the fine leaves up. Use a darker green as the base and a lighter spray from above, so that the crown gains depth; for an autumn scene choose ocher and rusty tones.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, the armature of a tree and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
