Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of decals in 1:72 scale, not a kit. The theme is F-4 Phantom aircraft used for test flying at the Edwards base. To use it a matching model of the Phantom in the same scale is needed; neither that nor paints are in the package. The F-4 family takes in markedly different forms, so compare the contents of the sheet with the source material for the machine you are building.
The McDonnell F-4 Phantom was a two-seat twin-engine aircraft that spread through the US Navy, the US Marine Corps and the US Air Force and further through a number of other countries. Characteristic of it are the upturned wing tips and the horizontal tail surfaces angled downward. Besides the combat units, a part of the machines served for test and measurement tasks. Test aircraft tend to be interesting for a modeler precisely because their appearance differs from the production machines: they carry measuring equipment and tend to be marked differently from the combat units.
In 1:72 scale the decals are tiny and the carrier film makes up a fairly large part of their area, so the risk of silvering is higher than in the large scales. Always work, therefore, on a perfectly glossy, smoothly sanded base without any grain. Settle the decal and let water run under it by capillary action: with the tip of a brush lay a drop of lukewarm water right at the edge and let it soak under the film, then draw the excess off with the corner of a towel. Never press on a tiny decal with a cotton swab, because it will tear. Numerals and small lettering settle better onto a damp, not a wet, surface, because they can still be moved but do not slide away.
It is an accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
