A set of masking templates in 1:72 scale relating to the moving surfaces of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2b model 21 carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi A6M2b model 21 is the best-known version of the Japanese carrier fighter, the one the Allies designated Zeke and which in Japan was called the Reisen. Against the earlier machines the model 21 had folding wingtips to suit the elevators on aircraft carriers, and it became the main type of the first two years of the war in the Pacific. For modelers it is one of the most frequently built Japanese subjects in 1:72 scale.
The templates relate to the moving surfaces of the aircraft, that is, to the ailerons, the flaps and the rudder and elevator on the tail. They let you separate these surfaces from the surrounding finish during painting and spray them on their own, without having to outline them laboriously with hand-cut tape. Which parts are masked, and in what order, is given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer, so follow its diagram.
It suits builders of Japanese aircraft in small scale who find small surfaces hard to outline with tape, and wherever the boundary between surfaces is to be straight and sharp.
The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
