This set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale is intended for a model of the Japanese A6M5 Zero Model 52 fighter. The subject is captured machines, that is aircraft that fell into the hands of the opposing side and were flown on trials. It is not a kit but an accessory with factual period markings.
The A6M5 Model 52 was a later, more capable version of the Zero with revised, shorter wings and a revised exhaust. It was the most widespread variant of the fighter. Several captured machines were remarked by the opposing side and used for flight and technical trials.
The decals are applied the wet way onto smooth gloss varnish. Coat the surface with gloss varnish, release the decal in water, place it and go over it with matte varnish once dry. A decal softener makes it easier to settle onto a broken surface.
