A decal sheet for a model of the North American P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:72 scale. It will add national insignia, codes and inscriptions to a model according to the references of the sheet's manufacturer.
Responsibility details are not available.
The North American P-51D Mustang is the best-known version of the American fighter of the Second World War. You will recognize it by the bubble canopy and the good view to the rear. The power plant is a Packard Merlin V-12, the license-built form of the British engine, which gave the Mustang its performance at high altitude and the range to escort bomber formations over Germany.
Decals for a model in 1:72 scale. Which particular machines and what schemes the sheet covers you will learn from the instructions enclosed with the sheet; the placement of the individual elements on the model is governed by them as well.
Decals belong on a smooth glossy surface, not on matte paint. First, then, clear coat the model with gloss clear, let it dry and only then apply the decals. Cut the element out close to the edge, immerse it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest on a paper base until it starts to slide on it. On the model bring it into place with a soft brush and draw the excess water off with a cloth. Over rivets and panel lines softener will help, drawing the decal down into the relief. Finally go over the whole model with matte or semi-gloss clear coat, which will hide the edges of the film.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive form; soaked self-adhesive film is ruined beyond recovery.
The package contains a decal sheet. The kit, paints and clear coats are not included, unless stated otherwise.
