A set of masks for painting a model of the C-27J Spartan transport aircraft in 1:72 scale, cut for the Italeri kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The C-27J Spartan is a twin-engine turboprop tactical transport aircraft. It carries cargo, soldiers and the wounded, and it is built to get by with short and unpaved surfaces that larger transport machines cannot reach. It serves with the armed forces of several countries and can also be seen on humanitarian flights.
Masks for painting a model of the C-27J Spartan in 1:72 scale. The set is cut for a kit from the Italeri brand, which matters when buying: the masks are based on the shapes of a particular manufacturer and need not fit on another kit. The scope of the masks is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The masks are stuck onto a clean, smooth and degreased surface, and always before spraying. First check the glazing against the light to see whether the mask fits into the frame; a small deviation can be set right while the tape is still loose. Then press the edges down carefully with a blunt tip, so that no paint runs under them. Spray several thin layers, letting the paint set in between, and do not aim the gun at a slant under the edge of the mask. Lift them off shortly after the last coat has dried, while the paint is young and the edge breaks off cleanly. Any residue of adhesive that might stay behind should be removed with a cotton swab dampened with alcohol, not with solvent.
For modelers who build the C-27J Spartan in 1:72 scale and want sharp edges on the framing without covering with strips of tape by hand. It saves time above all on glazing with many small fields.
The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
